200 Years of Grimm Tales

Saw the trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman over the weekend, and it was captivating! The Disney cuteness has been stripped away, revealing a darker, grittier and more sinister version of one of my favourite fairytales. Looking forward to watching it in June, but since that’s still about two months away, here’s a ‘fairytale with a twist’ moodboard to get you into the mood for something magical…

1) Vera Wang 2) Deco Pearl Drop earrings 3) Alexander McQueen crystal-embellished satin sandals 4) Jennifer Behr chain halo bandeaux with brass detail center 5) Suzanne Dai Jackson Hole cuff

This year also marks the 200th anniversary of the tales by the Brothers Grimm – I wonder how many generations of young girls have grown-up listening to Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Hansel and Gretel? While the modern adult interpretations may not be as fantastical, they’re just as magical – as any Grimm series fan knows 😉
